Westminster Abbey and Parliament Square

The full day london tour begins with a panoramic drive around Parliament Square, to see Westminster Abbey, where many of our Kings, Queens, Statesmen, poets and writers are buried. See Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

 

St Paul's Cathedral

A full day london sightseeing tour includes a guided tour of Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece – St Paul's Cathedral - crowned by the magnificent dome that is so much a part of the London skyline. The Cathedral was rebuilt after the Great Fire of London in 1666. In recent years it has seen the wedding of Charles, Prince of Wales, to Lady Diana Spencer and, most recently, the thanksgiving services for both the Golden Jubilee and 80th Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.

 

Buckingham Palace and Changing of the Guard.

Accompanied by a military band, a detachment of the Queen's Foot Guard, in their bearskins and red tunics, march to Buckingham Palace and a change with the Old Guard.

 

Lunch and River Thames Cruise

In your full day london sightseeing tours there is time for a hearty lunch on board one of London's finest restaurants. R S Hispaniola moored opposite the London Eye, with spectacular views of the River. After lunch, our river cruise takes us from Westminster to the Tower of London. Many interesting bridges span the Thames and some of London's most important landmarks are located on or near to the river. We'll get stunning views of the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, St. Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe theatre and the famous Tower Bridge.

 

The Tower of London and Crown Jewels

Founded over 900 years ago and Guarded by Yeoman Warders since the 14th century, the Tower has been a Royal Palace, an armoury, a place of imprisonment and execution, and home to the priceless "Crown Jewels", including the enormous Cullinan diamonds and the extraordinary Koh-i-Noor.

The City of London

The full day london tour continues through the City of London. Discover the fascinating history of 'the square mile' including the Great Fire that so nearly destroyed it in 1666. See St Paul's Cathedral, the Mansion House, home of the Lord Mayor of London and the Bank of England, known as 'The Old Lady of Threadneedle Street'.

Admission to St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London and the Thames River Cruise are included in the tour price. Lunch is not included. Due to church services St Paul's Cathedral is closed to visitors on Sunday, we show you the Cloisters and Chapter House of Westminster Abbey instead. Occasionally there may not be a Changing of the Guard, on these occasions we visit Horseguards Parade.

DEPARTURES IN MARCH
Until the end of March 2008, full day london sightseeing tours will include a visit to Westminster Abbey in place of St Paul's Cathedral and will include Lunch at a traditional London Pub. On Sundays, we will show you the Cloisters and Chapter House of Westminster Abbey.
